New Title IX Rules Harm Women and Girls - Joint Statement from WoLF and FPA

On September 14, 2022, WoLF collaboratively released a statement with Family Policy Alliance (FPA), regarding our shared concerns about the US Department of Education’s proposed Title IX regulations. Collectively, WoLF and FPA motivated and empowered over 13,000 concerned US citizens, as well as people from around the world, to submit comments to the Department of Education.

From July through September, hundreds of thousands of Americans submitted their comments to the department; many of those comments expressed concern, outrage, and anger over the notion that “gender identity” would be conflated with sex. During the final week of the submission period, hundreds of thousands of comments disappeared from the department’s comment portal, according to Politico

It is essential for women and girls to have single-sex resources, spaces, and sports at all educational facilities. The department’s proposed Title IX regulations will harm women and girls by placing them at increased risk of sexual violence, domestic violence, and stalking. These regulations will also eliminate fair athletic competitions for female students, and they will coerce all students and educational employees to comply with gender ideology, which is nothing more than an anti-science personal belief system based on sex stereotypes.
